Abstract The onset of thermal convection in an anisotropic horizontal porous layer heated from below and rotating about vertical axis, under local non-equilibrium hypothesis is studied. Linear nonlinear stability analysis the conduction solution performed. Coincidence between linear instability global thresholds with respect to L 2 —norm proved.
